What happened to Renergen?
Renergen, the developer of the Virginia Gas Project (helium and LNG) in the Free State, was acquired by US-listed ASP Isotopes through a share scheme. Renergen shares were delisted from the JSE and A2X in January 2026, and shareholders received ASP Isotopes shares. There is no longer a live Renergen share price; the closest exposure is ASP Isotopes (NASDAQ: ASPI).
